Steps to a Healthier Diet Infographic

Feed your Feet Healthy Food

The positive benefits for your body of a healthy and well-balanced diet are broadly promoted and known. Weight management, blood pressure, cholesterol, mood to mention the obvious. The benefits for your legs and feet are barely mentioned. Through all our life stages our food needs, preferences and habits change, but ideally our feet and legs are with us for the whole of our life. We support the research of the CSIRO and recommend the Australian Dietary Guidelines https://www.eatforhealth.gov.au

Getting ready for Healthy Eating

jug of water and glass drink more water

Have a little think about what you are currently eating each day.

When do you eat? What do you eat? When are you hungry? What’s in your pantry or refrigerator? Do you prepare food at home? Do you eat out? Do you want to feel better?

Now think about your legs and Feet

Do your feet hurt when you stand and walk? Could you run for the bus? Are your feet and legs swollen? Have you fractured a bone in your foot? Is your back too stiff, or your abdomen too big to reach to put on your socks? Is the skin on your legs shiny and hairless? Is the skin on your feet thin and fragile like rice paper? Poor nutrition won’t necessarily be the only cause – but good nutrition can be part of the reversal of these foot and leg issues.
