FootWebStar is a specialty Podiatry online Journal
We strive to be more interesting, more trustworthy and remain proudly independent.
What is FootWebStar ?
The FootWebStar website was launched in 2016 and has flourished into a specialty Podiatric online journal. At FootWebStar we are committed to publishing independent, reliable and easy to read foot-related information. We provide articles, resources, material and news to our website visitors.
Large amounts of Podiatric and foot-related information are available on the internet. There is scientific literature and articles written by university trained Podiatrists. Unfortunately there is a third group of foot-related material. The third group is written by scraping and contorting content from other articles. The result is often pseudo-accurate material passed off as fact or medical opinion. It is this pseudo-accurate material that prompted the founder of FootWebStar to be involved with Online Podiatric information.
FootWebStar follows the principles of evidence-based best practice. The best and most recent evidence gained from quality research methods is our primary source. Where Level 1-5 evidence is not available our Podiatrists refer to Level 6-7 experiential evidence.

About the Founder
Rosemary Grenness qualified as a Podiatrist in Melbourne, Australia over 35 years ago. The Melbourne training was the first tertiary based program available in Australia and was modeled on a fusion of United Kingdom Chiropody and United States Podiatry. The excellent training provided a firm base for a successful career that followed in both the hospital sector and in private practice. Rosemary started developing an interest in shared information during her work in remote communities. That knowledge and expertise, because of the accessibility of the digital world, is now available at FootWebStar.
Australian Podiatry is recognized for its contribution to the global Podiatric knowledge collective. The Australian lifestyle provides a steady stream of clients of all ages presenting with a broad range of foot conditions. The dry outback, ski-fields, stunning beaches and our cities sustain our active lifestyle. Podiatrists are kept very busy developing their techniques, refining treatment modalities and searching for new solutions.
